Great selection of ice cream and fair prices.
Love it here!
Great service, great ice cream
Nice little place to grab an ice cream treat. Outdoor seating and indoor available.
Just a perfect place to kick back on the porch swings and enjoy an ice cream
Was bummed when my wife and I went tonight when we saw free ice cream cone for dads on Father's Day. We were charged for my ice cream cone and my wife ordered a small cup of ice cream for which she received one scoop in a cup for just over $3. Ice cream was good but frustrated by being charged for something marketed as free and for a steep cost for a single scoop of ice cream. Probably will not return.
My absolute favorite place to get ice cream. Been going here since I was a child. My family’s favorite is usually moose sundae. The porch and swings are lovely.
Best Ice Cream Anywhere!!!
Love the place but it is quite expensive ☹️.
Great place to sit with family to eat icecream!
Even if you have to go out of your way to get here, do it! Simply the best ice cream around.
Super tasty ice cream, friendly staff
The ice cream was amazing! We'll definitely be coming back!
Friendly staff, lots of options and they never disappoint
Yummy, delicious flavors of creamy ice cream.
Went for Cool School night. The ice cream had some major ice chunks in it and the scoops weren't put on well so I lost a scoop pretty quickly. Below expectations.Update 1 year later, again cool school night. Ice chunks and hair in the ice cream. Staff in questionable attire.
A must-stop location when coming home from the beach in Grand Haven - this little ice cream shop is just an amazingly tasty treat!
First time being here, got my ice cream cone for free today because my name is Ariel😍
Nice place, lots of flavors, friendly staff. We love sitting in the front porch swings and enjoying our waffle cones!
This is the best ice cream I have ever tasted in my life!!! Every year my children (and their friends) and I drive from NY to Michigan for our annual trip to spend with family. We always take 1 day to drive up North, and this is the first time we have ever stopped here. I am so glad we did, because it will officially become part of our tradition! Definitely a different taste than any other ice cream.
We have been here three times and each time they have closed early and sent customers away. The employees have been more interested in leaving than they have been serving customers. This evening, 8/29/19, we arrived 15 minutes before closing. There were 2 employees. One stated “we are no longer serving soft serve” and the other employee stated “ we are almost closed”. I’m assuming this was in attempt to discourage us from making a purchase. At that time a group of about 5-6 ladies (over aged 50) arrived. It was 8:46 and they were also told that there was no soft serve and that they were closing now. Although we enjoy the ice cream quality- the service over the last 3 times have been terrible.
Great ice cream!
Service was excellent and large selection but the icecream tasted almost watered down, the cones were nothing amazing and broke easily. it was $10 for two medium cones. I feel like a rating of 2.5 whould be a fair rating.
My first visit was for the first “Janet” free ice cream today. The staff was friendly and cheerful and recommended the salted caramel which was excellent. Thank you for the pleasant experience
Be careful they put candy corn in your ice cream. Almost busted a crown
Probably my favorite ice cream place in the GH/SL area. Clean and cool inside, friendly and good ice cream selection. They also accept cards if you don't have cash with you.
Locally owned, locally made ice cream, and my kids love going there
Front Porch is the quintessential ice cream shop! Not only is it delicious, but it's also a family-owned business. If supporting local and indulging in homemade sweets is your thing, then don't miss a trip to The Front Porch! In fact, it could even be your day for a free scoop ;) They put out a new name and you can earn a free cone. It's a perfect stop with family and friends!
Lots of ice cream varieties, and it's been an area favorite for many years.
Really nice service. Flavors are very well designed. A bit pricy but worth it.
Lots of great ice cream options, though the strawberry cheesecake tasted a bit like medicine!
Love their ice cream!
Always great service and a good time.
Great service, awesome sundies!
Good homemade ice cream.
Wide selection of tasty ice cream, and a nice seating area outside.
As usual a great place to stop for icecream. Lots of flavors and choices. Highly recommended
We go here every year when we are in Spring Lake. This year we were so pleased to find they had dairy free options. We have one dairy allergy and a vegan in the family, so this was a welcome addition. They are always friend, timely and tasty. A great end to a fun day.
We love this place! They always do a name special too which is a lot of fun!
Great homemade icecream
It was a good experience. My 3 stars is a reflection of the type of ice cream you serve. I prefer a creamier ice cream.
Delicious ice cream!
Friendly service and great prices
Incredibly good ice cream, worth the drive
Called to confirm the store's location at 10:11p and was helped. Showed up 6 minutes later and the store was closed, doors locked, lights off. Um..... Can't rate the food since you were closed!? Maybe mention on the phone "thanks for trying to find us we will reopen tomorrow"?
Love coming here!
Grate in House made ice cream. they also sell in House made half pound blocks of fudge. and chocolate caramel covered popcorn.
Lovely little place down town that is great with kids and have a nice porch in wich to sit out side and injoy your ice cream servis is exceptional
The ice cream is worthy of five stars. It's delicious. The staff is also very friendly and we enjoy the outdoor seating area. We are just always disappointed in the waffle cones. They're thin and tasteless...nothing like they used to be.In response to the owner's question: no, we did not go tonight but we have been regulars. I would love to see the big, thick waffle cones that they used to make at Temptations on the boardwalk. Can you put in a request? We'd pay extra at the Front Porch for those :). Thank you for responding and we'll be back.
Love this place!! It was Mary day, so had to get a free cone for my mom :)
